Lafayette, IN: Former Toy Factory Ready for Modern Apartment Lofts After New Sub-Membrane Depressurization System

After clearing and leveling all 6 crawl spaces, Vapor Intrusion Specialists installed 6 sub-membrane depressurization systems (SMDS). Specialized fans were connected to piping to create an even distribution of negative pressure underneath the heavy duty vapor barrier, which was secured carefully to the walls with concrete anchors and fender washers. The finger system of piping ran the entire length of each chamber in order to cover the approximately 15,000 square feet of crawl space and keep harmful vapors out of the buildings. This was a former toy factory that was converted to modern apartment lofts, another fantastic redevelopment that Vapor Intrusion Specialists was proud to be a part of.
